At Civic Roundtable, our mission is to power a more effective, efficient, and integrated government by bridging silos, streamlining coordination, and building institutional memory for public servants across the United States. With our mission in mind, we hosted our 2025 State Elections Roundtable last week, bringing together state agency and association leaders to reflect on the successes of 2024 and collaborate on strategies to prepare for the year ahead.

This virtual event showcased the innovative ways elections officials are leveraging Civic Roundtable to strengthen collaboration, share resources, and address the complex challenges of election administration. The 2024 election cycle underscored the resilience and adaptability of elections officials nationwide. During the conversation, participants shared how their state agencies used Civic Roundtable to:

• 📚Centralize resources and training: Another state introduced dedicated hubs for training and forms, reducing email overload and empowering local officials with easily accessible materials.
• 🌐Coordinate statewide efforts: Another used Roundtable to streamline public records responses, shared guidance across its jurisdictions, and foster peer-to-peer collaboration across urban and rural jurisdictions.

Preparing for 2025: Opportunities and Priorities

The conversation also looked forward to the ways that state agencies and associations are using our platform to prepare for 2025, with participants emphasizing:

• 👩‍💻Onboarding new staff: With high turnover among election officials, states discussed how Roundtable’s centralized resource hubs and training libraries will become essential tools for preserving institutional knowledge and supporting new staff. States also shared creative ways to use the platform, from hosting office hours to facilitating peer-to-peer Q&A, ensuring team members at every tenure have the resources they need to succeed.
• 🤝Expanding interagency collaboration: Officials shared creative ways to use Roundtable to connect election administrators to their mission-critical counterparts at other state and municipal agencies in the cybersecurity, public safety and emergency management arenas.
